(More customer reviews)I got this guitar a few weeks ago... to tell the truth I haven't even played it that much, I just like to look at it... it really is a piece of art. If you have a LP you probably know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I've always played strats but I've always wanted a LP and I finally decided to take the plunge. After much research, I was actually set on a LP Standard. The new features (since 2008) seemed to make sense. I went to the store and tried the standard, the traditional pro and this one. This one was the one that felt better (and it was cheaper than the standard) and according to the sales rep, the new features of the standard do not really make a difference. The traditional pro was alright but it was just too heavy. I guess you can do your own research and ask around and read reviews but you're better off going to the local guitar store and trying them all. Choose the one that feels better to you. It goes without saying all LPs sound amazing... Overpriced? yes, worth every penny? you better believe it!! By the way, this particular color looks a little different in real life... it's a little lighter. Also, I had the tuners changed to Locking Grovers, but that's just a personal choice, all tuners are basically the same but Locking make it easier to change strings.

Crate TX50DB Battery Powered Guitar Amp Combo, 50W Review

(More customer reviews)I've used this on two occasions now. Both hooking up a phone or mp3 player or laptop with digital audio files or internet radio streams. First I took it to an informal beach wedding. At the lower end of the "medium" volume range, and on a full charge this lasted 6 hours without dying (could probably do 8, as the specs suggest). Yesterday used it in the back yard hooking up to the AC.
Overall this thing is excellent and provides background music where you don't have access to electricity.
Two issues though:
-this is designed for instruments/performers rather than playing mp3s through your ipod, so it has all kinds useless knobs that you'll never use if you're using it for a digital audio player (DAP). A big problem is that you end up having to connect your DAP to the CD input (you'll need an adapter cable, get it from monoprice or local store). THIS INPUT HAS NO VOLUME CONTROL ASSOCIATED WITH IT so it is ALWAYS ON FULL VOLUME. This means that you have to control the volume on your DAP (e.g. ipod). If you forget to lower the volume on your player before connecting it, it'll blast REALLY LOUD! Save your ears and be aware!
-two power inputs, one for cigarette lighter and one for AC adapter, have identical connections. The manual and the outside warn you not to connect the AC adapter to the cigarette lighter socket because it will probably damage the unit. I think this is bad design. They should be two different connectors, so it is impossible to connect to the wrong socket. Now I have to be paranoid and do not want to trust other people with hooking this thing up.
Overall though I am happy to have this. Long battery life, good sound quality (not too bass-heavy, which I was anticipating).

I am very happy with this amp. Its super chimey and has great VOX clean sounds then when you crank it up it gives you the perfect Brittish sounding growl. Couldn't recommend more and I think its a steal at $599!

DBZ Guitars Bolero AB Electric Guitar, White Review

(More customer reviews)I have two DBZ guitars and this white one is one of them. I didn't have to do anything to the guitar out of the box. The action is perfect, no fret buzz and no cosmetic defects.
The pickups are amazing. I was worried I was going to have to replace them, but to my amazement, the sound quality was exactly what I was looking for. The cleans are crisp and the distortions are superb. There is a clarity that comes out, nothing is muddy at all.
This isn't going to give you a les paul sound, so if you are looking for a Les Paul sound out of this thing, get a Les Paul (I have one of those too)
Not to discourage anyone from getting one of these, just saying, les paul sound you will not get.
I wasn't looking for a Les Paul sound. What I have is a great guitar that gives me the perfect combination of everything. This is coiled tapped so you can split the Humbucker.
I play everything from Hendrix to Slipknot and this guitar gives me all. It doesn't hurt to be running through a voodoo modded dual rectifier either.
DBZ is a much better guitar this his old Dean line. Trust me, I have Dean's too and hands down, these DBZ guitars run them in the dirt. My other DBZ guitar : Cavallo and it plays just are nice as the Bolero Series.
I did play an American made DBZ Bolero and could only tell minor differences and their cost: 3500, these Korean made Bolero's : 600.00 if you know where to shop beyond eleven just need to sign up as a member. I only plug them because they are the cheapest on the net for these DBZ guitars.

(More customer reviews)I simply cannot figure out how Ibanez puts out a bass of this quality for such a low price.
A little fiddling right out of the box got the action low and smooth. The shape of the neck makes playing effortless. The 3 band onboard eq dials in almost any sound you need without having to go back and fiddle with the amp. The Roadster Orange finish is so much better in person than in the photos, the active pickups sound wonderful, and, a boon to all us gigging musicians, it's light.
I started playing bass in High School. I'm 51 now, and have owned almost every type of bass at one point or another. P Bass, couple of Jazz Basses, Yamahas, Peaveys, A Gibson, couple other Ibanez's, and this is the one I'm sticking with.
For a decade the Jazz Bass was my main stage axe, and I used to carry a phony Hofner as a backup. I'd usually pick it up somewhere in the second set to give my shoulder a break. I am seriously considering buying another one of these for my backup and leaving everything else at home.
For us working class players who simply can't afford a Ric 4003 or the Alembic of their dreams, this bass will fill the bill. At this price, you simply can't go wrong.

ESP LTD KH602 Kirk Hammett Electric Guitar (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)Finally its mine!!! Ever since I was a kid I have wanted to own Kirks pride and joy ESP guitar. Bought it for myself as a gift for surviving 3 tours in the middle east. Since Im not willing to shell out over $9,999 for some super edition guitar this one suits me fine. This one has everything that the $10K guitar has but not with cool graphics and a computer printed "autograph" on it. It has a very nice sound, the fret board is super smooth and built for his style of playing which is fast in case you dont know. The damn thing is a diamond in guitar form. Keeps its tune for a while too. Not so easy to tune back up but you will get used to it. Hey, great quality guitars cause for high maintenance. If youre willing to spend the money this is actually worth investing in if you plan on keeping it for life.

Fender Sonoran SCE Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Black Review

(More customer reviews)I was suprise that out of the box it was pretty close to being right in tune. The on board tuner,3 directional is easy to use. I have not plugged it into a amp yet. The sound without an amp. is very clear and tone carries well and loud enough for me. This is my 1st cutaway and it is the good easy way to get down on the highs without hand stretch as much. I looked this over and the workmanship is good but not excellent. The paint and trim is smooth as it blends together in the edges really fine. The mother of pearl guard adds coolness to the black color. One thing of warning! Like laquer paint does, one bump and it's hairline crack and dent you get. Be very carefull in this aspect and use a hard case. The neck is a bit rough on the edges and fret bars kind of high I think. The strings are good and the adjusters and head are the key! They bring back the "Strat'O'caster" head that screams "Fender" on this model once again. And it makes it nice having adjusters all in a row. For the price and it's looks, this novice player is very happy.

She is just learning to play but I wanted her to have a really nice guitar to start with and that would last her a while and after researching this one I decided that it was the one! The price is very affordable and being so much below retail price it is SO worth it! I have had several friends and family members that play and they have played it and have loved how it sounds and the quality of the guitar! The cutaway is great for reaching those blue notes on slide around the 16th fret.
Loud, but rich and lush sound. It can also be surprisingly gritty for blues when played appropriately. If I could only have one resonator, this would be the one.

(More customer reviews)Before you read this understand I am new a playing guitar. That being said the features on this guitar are nice fir beginners, the Fishman tuning system is easy and work great. The sound is great (to me) Im sure others will differ but if your looking for a 200 dollar guitar you shouldn't nit-pick. But it has been about 6-7 months of hard play and I don't hear any new rattles or signs that things are coming apart. The finish is natural wood not polyurethane like nice ones. But this is a great beginners guitar.

Martin LXM Little Martin Acoustic Guitar wtih Gigbag Review

(More customer reviews)I've owned the Martin LXM now for several years and it's an amazing little guitar. It's far superior to the Baby Taylor in my opinion. It holds tuning like a rock and since it's mostly made of composite materials, it isn't as sensitive to temperature and humidity changes. It's a great guitar to travel with and always sounds wonderful. It has a very warm, balanced tone. It's obviously not as loud as a full-sized guitar or a real wood counterpart, but it makes up for that with a really great sound that doesn't favor highs over lows or vice-versa. The laminated neck is really heavy and gives you an unparalleled amount of sustain for a guitar this size.
About the only thing I can say is that while the quality seems very consistent, if you're very picky, and have a chance to play among several of these guitars, do that. I've handled some that play better than others, but they all play very very well.

(More customer reviews)I have had the Blackheart BH5-112 for two weeks now and I am happy to report that it is an amazing amp at an amazing price. It is designed to get a natural tube overdrive sound at a very reasonable volume level. You can sound like you are cranking your amp at full volume and yet not disturb your neighbors. Pyotr Belov is a brilliant designer and he has done an amazing job with this new Blackheart line of amps. This amp would probably be a great deal, even at twice the price. It is all tube and substantially built. There is absolutely nothing cheap about it. But the bottom line is IT SOUNDS GREAT!!! Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)the package was right, not beaten, but the guitar was broken: a little piece of wood in the floyd hole. A small damage, but when you`re paying for a new guitar you expect it to be perfect, specially if you`re paying almost 550 bucks, the only reason I don`t return the item is because I`m out of the states and it would cost me a lot of money to return it, and I know it`s not courrier responsability because, as I said, the box was not beaten or damaged.
this just made the experience of unboxing a new guitar really disappointing!
