Schecter Stiletto Elite-4 Bass Guitar (4 String, See-Thru Cherry) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have played bass guitar for over 30 years and just recently I was at a major music store and had the opportunity to play this bass. I played the most expensive bass guitars they had there (some over 3 thousand dollars). This guitar in my opinion beat them all....
- Sound: Beautiful low ballsy puch to bright high end snap
- Action: Never seen better. You could barely slip a business card under the strings while holding the 5th and 9th frets
- Look: Beautiful.... Attention to detail is impecible

Dean Edge 6 String Bass Trans Amberburst Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I love my Dean Edge 6. But I can't play it. And I can't get strings for it.
It's a beautiful instrument. The fit and finish is quite good for the price. It sounds great.
An accomplished bassist recommended that I get a six string. That was a HUGE mistake. This bass is a monster, and is no good for learning to play.
The biggest problem, however, is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get strings for this thing. All of the "Extra Long Scale" strings that I have tried begin to taper just shy of the nut. I contacted Dean and they told me that they string the bass with bulk D'Addario strings and that they couldn't recommend any set that I could buy. They suggested that I visit the nearest dealer . . . 600 miles away.
So, the instrument is terrific, Dean's customer service is WORTHLESS.
-Peter

AXL Badwater Dual Pickup 1216 Electric Guitar, Crackle Brown/White Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)ive been playing guitar off,on for 25 yrs....had my share of stringed instruments.im at the age where i can have any guitar i want, having worked for years,i already have my favorites, and now im collecting...the guitar is pleasing on the eyes.and to me,looks like something that could cost alot more, and i like the fact that there is a variety of colors to choose from.for me this will be another guitar on the wall, played when i want to mix things up a bit.this would definitly make a great starter, and even capable of using to play out as a part of your arsenal.its priced very fair.pickups are decent.basically,it is what it is,a decent guitar at a reasonable price.......

AXL Badwater Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Antique Off White Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)So I never saw a review for this guitar when I was buying it. Now that I have owned it for about 6 months and play it everyday I think I'm knowledgable enough about it to tell you what your really buying.
Pros:
The pickups are nice. They sound great! To compare I have a epiphone les paul ultra 2. These AXL (EMG) pickups sound better than they do. I would give the sound a 7 out of 10 (gibson 498/490 being 10). I like the weight distribution and the look. You can really feel the blues on this puppy.
Cons
The construction stunk right out of the box. I had to sand the area around the nut to make it flush. When I changed the strings to heavier gauge the rattled so after some work on the nut I was able to get it set up well enough. Still rattles a little. The tuners are iffy. 3 of the string goes out of tune faster than the others. I'm guessing the tuners are not all set up perfectly. I would give the construction of this guitar a 3 out of 10(10 being gibson or heritage)
All in all. If you take the time to set it up you might have a great guitar. I actually play mine a lot. i don;t think I'd sell it just yet. But don't expect anything more than a 250 dollar guitar(it costs 375) as far as the build quality. If you want build quality get a Ibanez artcore, the construction is solid but the details like being flush is lacking. If you want sound this is 700 dollar sounding guitar for the price of 375

Dean Tradition S2 Acoustic Left-Handed Guitar, Gloss Natural Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Nice guitar. Tortoise binding looks great. Nice full warm tone. It needed a set-up something fierce. Action was a mile high. Both the nut and the saddle needed work.

Daisy Rock Pixie Acoustic-Electric Left-Handed Guitar, Plum Purple Burst Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I'm not making a judement on the sound quality as I've a tin ear, but the description for this guitar should say somewhere that it has a plastic back (the resonance cavity is plastic). The Daisy Rock website actually calls the back a composite material, but it looks and feels like plastic. This information, regarding the composite back, was not on the Amazon webpage, or the manufacturer's webpage for this guitar, but on the manufacturer's general page for all guitars of this type, so it was easy to miss. The guitar looks nice and probably plays fine, but $300 for a plastic guitar seems a high price. I returned this and got the next model up (wildwood) which appears to be all wood.

Seagull S6 Original Left QI Guitar Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I thought this was a mistake when I first saw it. A seagull s6 original itself costs about $100 more. The electronics are great, and the right handed version of this guitar is priced about $200 more. This left handed guitar isn't even shown on guitarcenter. An amazing price and and amazing guitar.
