(More customer reviews)I have owned many, many guitars in my life (virtually all nylon stringed) and I always seem to come back to Yamaha Guitars. This guitar has a fabulous pickup system for the nylon strings plus a great guitar tuner built into the pre-amp. It is made to play through an amp. It even comes with a rubberized disc which fits nicely into the sound hole to minimize feedback. A thinline nylon, this guitar is heavier than my other Yamahas. It is beautifully made and solidly built. I sold my Taylor Nylon model 32 for this guitar because I was never confortable taking taking the Taylor out of the house to use at gigs. I was concerned about possible damage to the soft wood. Also the electronics (fishman pre-amp) I felt was dated. The Taylor does sound better playing without an amp, but the Yamaha is far superior plugged in. Make sure you spend plenty of time trying out this guitar in the store so that you'll be happy with it because he neck is smaller than a classical guitar.If you decide to buy this guitar, get a good, protective case for it. I am very pleased!
