(More customer reviews)Purchased this mando for my son who started on cheaper mandos to learn. He had moved up to my wifes Morgan monroe mm-3 and was ready for his own better grade of mandolin. We purchased the Flinthill not knowing how well it would be, but at this price range we knew it wouldnt be junk. Well we were right, it was better than expected. I had to tighted up the strings, tune it and it was ready to play. We all were amazed by the mellow tones and crispt play of this instrument. The inlays are great looking and the fret board is nice and straight with the action low so its easy to play. You will not go wrong with this instrument.

Boss ME-50B Bass Multiple Effects with COSM Review

(More customer reviews)I've used this for about 6 years now. the COSM Compressor/Limiter works amazingly well. Also there is a noise supressor, which works very well. All the effects sound great, and you can highly customize and save them. This unit is great for gigs. The base unit is very solid, the expression pedal is very solid also. Nothing about this unit feels cheap, it is heavy! It also has grips on the bottom to keep it from sliding around.
My only con is that "Octave Up" and "Octave Down" effect have a noticable delay, a few milliseconds max, but you can hear it if you are playing. Not sure if a listener would notice.

Line 6 MM4 Modulation Modeler Review

(More customer reviews)I am pretty happy with this purchase. The pedal is solid and it has a lot of effects. Not all of them are great, put there are many. Its pretty big and this, in combination with my DL4, takes up a lot of space on my pedal board.
After purchasing this, I discovered the Line 6 M9 effects pedal, which has the MM4, DL4, and a bunch of other Line 6 pedals in it. I probably would have bought that in hind site. Regardless, MM4 is pretty good, has a bunch of effect, all varying in quality, and takes up a ton of room.

Radial Tonebone PZ-Pre Acoustic Preamp Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned and gigged with the Radial ToneBone Acoustic for two years now and I think it still fills a niche that no other pedal I've found has. It allows the musicians to run two instruments up a single channel to the PA (either pre or post EQ) with independent mixes. In addition, the pedal has a Boost button you can kick in to fairly dramatically up your volume in the mix.
I almost always play with two instruments - I do this because I play in alternate tunings and its quicker on stage to just drop an instrument and pick up a second. Combine this with the Boost button I discuss above and I can now fairly easily manage both my instrument volumes and allow for volume control between the rocking loud stuff and the quieter finger picked stuff. This pedal was in so many ways made for me!
But, the versatility comes with a price. Compare the sound of this Preamp against its Acoustic competitors, mainly the LR Baggs Para Acoustic D.I.or Fishman Aura Spectrum D.I.models and there is a clear difference in sound quality. This has been very disappointing. After two years, I may finally break down and purchase the Fishman DI I've been lusting after and start counting on the sound-guy to take care of my levels.

This is one heck of a tuner - fully configurable, great looking, easy to see and very easy to use. The marquee feature is an awesome touch. It's heavy (almost 10 pounds!), well built and and all around solid product.
Strobe tuners aren't for everyone, but if you want to get your guitars tuned up and have your rack look great at the same time, you can't go wrong here. Very glad I purchased it, 5 stars.

Lucida LG-GR1 Guitarron with Bag Review

(More customer reviews)My guitarron arrived quickly but the box was a little damaged. I pulled out the guitarron and found it to be a refurbished one in my mind. It smells of varnish and I found a dent that had been repaired. I also found a small separation of the upper flattop of the guitar and I can feel the rim is slightly cracked. I was disappointed but I needed the instrument quickly and decided not to return it. The strings seem new and it plays well. The bag was included and its a decent bag. It cost me about $360.00 and for guitarrons thats pretty cheap.I feel that mine is worth the price even with it's small damage but I know that others would not agree. So if you are thinking about buying one be aware that it might be a refurbished instrument. Most Guitarrons run about 700 to 1500 dollars so this is not bad for a beginner. The strings are colored which help you to learn your fingering since there are no frets. I love the strings.

(More customer reviews)My pedals sound amazing. No dancing. Incredible. Only thing that sucks but that is just inherent in the pedal is how many cables are needed. Like 16 cables. It's crazy. But the pedal is true bypass which makes my rig sound so friggin good. I'm in the process of making my own cables because it's cheaper and I can get specific lengths. The Octa-switch is highly recommended.

Fulltone CLYDE Standard Wah Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)The Fulltone Standard Clyde Wah is one of the world's best wah pedal effects. Not only does it have a vocal-like quality of that of a muted trumpet, but the pedal when switched off is true-bypass and does not detract from the signal from the guitar to the amplifier.
The pedal is rugged, albeit the particular pedal I had purchased had a sensitive footswitch that required a softer "stomp" of the foot for the pedal to work correctly.
When one compares the Fulltone Standard Clyde Wah to other pedals, there, in my mind, is no comparison.
I have owned many other models and brands of wah pedals that are available on the market today and, to me, my search for the best pedal has ended.
That being said, your ears can only be the judge of what you should buy for any sort of guitar or sound related gear, but because I have played guitar for over the past 45 years, I would recommend this pedal for anyone who isn't sure of what to buy. You really can't go wrong with this wah, it's just that good.

Mitchell MD100SCE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a lower-cost beginners guitar to start teaching myself. I chose this Mitchell for the Acoustic/Electric versatility, the phenomenal sound resonation, and the low action.
The sound rivals some of the lower end Taylors or Martins, for a fraction of the cost. It's easy for me to make it sound good since the action is so low, which means that the strings only rest slightly off the neck of the guitar. Great for beginners who don't have finger strength to play barre chords.
I have only plugged it in once or twice, but both times, the on board mini-amp has volume and hi/low levels, which get the job done. No cool effects on board, but I'm just a beginner trying to learn the basics of guitar theory.
Overall phenomenal guitar for beginners, also a great travel guitar for those with more experience, it won't let you down either.

Taylor Guitars GT8 8 String Baritone Grand Symphony Acoustic Electric Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)This instrument can add a solid bottom end to any guitar gathering. The bass end is deep. It is tuned B to B and the F#, along with the two octave strings gives color to any song. It is quite easy to finger-pick, but does take a little more pressure than the typical six-string guitar as the strings are a little larger in gauge.
Play around with the capo and work your vocal range. It can do so much more than a regular six-string. Once you've played it, have been captured by the rich deep tone, you'll be hooked and will have to get one. I did. Had to trade in my Taylor GS7 as a down payment on this baby. Not sorry in the least. For me, this guitar is ideal, I've finally found that "almost perfect" guitar!

Instead of always having to plug in my electric and move equipment from room to room I decided on a acoustic bass. I can play with the background music and still hear myself. It was a little bigger then I expected. The sound is spongey but very clear. When you plug in if you don't have a processor the on board tone controls work great. The strings have a little more space between them compared to an electric and that took a little getting used to. The on board tuner is accurate. As far as the body, neck, and overall product I have no complaints. I love this guitar and am so happy I bought it.
