(More customer reviews)Sure can make some strange sounds come out of your amp with the Ring!The guitar effects [also works for bass, & keyboard if it has phono plug output] are modified by your strumming hand motion, and adjustable by 3 knobs controlling level of Phaser or Flanger, & controlling Depth & also Speed, allowing dozens of different sounds for rhythm and lead. The Hot Hand can be adjusted from barely noticeable to intense! Mostly I play the notes and chords enjoying Ring effects as part of very lively background background; and when a note really cries for emphasis vibration, nothing beats the Ring. I like that I can modify the sound of fretting alone with the Ring.

You can shift from 1 to 4 preset effects pre-set &/or modified by you by sequentially stomping on the sturdy box, to fit different effects to your song where they fit. I like that the device uses high quality Analog Device chip, sister chip to some of the best computer sound cards. The unit came with 2 Rings, an AC power supply, and 4 AA batteries that I haven't had to use yet, packed in a carry case that looks like it should be carrying a thin Makita. Very easy to use.
All in all a very nice modulator that keeps a guitar session going longer than anticipated as I chase the rhythms.
