Versatile, solid, wonderful sounding acoustic amplifier.
Unlike electric guitar amps, sound accuracy is critical to an acoustic amp. The beauty of this amp and the Roland acoustic amp series, an acoustic guitar is just louder and accurate compared to an unamplified acoustic electric guitar. I love the sound from this amp. The Roland amps may be a bit more popular, they are more expensive than this Marshall. I think this amp is a better value.
The finish is beautiful, classic Marshall. Deep thick vinyl with sturdy corner guards. The handle is leather and feels great in your hand. The knobs have a good solid feel. Each control is well labeled.
The first bank on the left is the guitar / instrument input. There are a volume, bass, and treble controls (no mid range - that's best handled on the tone output of the guitar anyway). The next bank is Left and Right RCA inputs for a consumer electronics input (like a CD player), a combo XLR input (XLR jack / one quarter inch), and volume, bass, and treble controls. The third bank is the digital effects / anti - feedback controls. The purist will probably not care for these controls; there are reverb and chorus settings. Each channel can have the effects applied independently (there is an on/off switch for channel 1 and channel 2). Finally, next to the power switch, there is a master volume control.
Overall, this amp has enough power to fill a gymnasium or small bar venue.
