Aria AP-STD2 Parlour Acoustic Guitar - Brown Sunburst Review

(More customer reviews)This is a nice guitar. Here's some info I wish I could have found before purchase: it is made in China. Mine has about three small blemishes in the finish- hardly noticable and quite acceptable for a guitar in this price range.
The body is parlor style, but larger than most parlor guitars. It's body is only an inch shorter than my Larrivee dreadnaught, and the total height of the guitar is equal to a standard dreadnaught (the inch it loses on the body it gains back with a long headstock). Part of my reason for buying a parlor guitar was to get a slightly smaller guitar that would be easier to travel with- if that is what you are after this will not fill the bill. On the positive side, it is a lovely instrument and sounds like a slightly deeper, richer, louder parlor guitar. The tone is good, and with playing the solid top should loosen up and get better. The slotted headstock is beautiful, and one of the main reasons I went with the Aria. The brown sunburst is also really nice. I plan to use this for blues and old time, and I think it will do great with those styles. The only thing I would change (if I could) is I'd make it a little smaller.

I can't believe this was such a good deal I was a little sceptical of getting ripped off because I thought it was to good to be true. Well I got my guitar & it is exactly what I wanted Brand new in the box! My new Dean looks great for under $300.00 it's a steal. It's not quite deep as my acoustic but most acoustic/electrics aren't. It is a little tinny sounding but for the price with a digital on board tuner & chord scale key it is great! Change out the strings to one of your own liking, for me I prefer something a little deeper.. maybe some earneball super slinky'S 10's ;) "Check out GuitarCenter reviews on this Dean" BUY it at Amazon I saved about $100!!!

(More customer reviews)This is a very fine guitar for the price. Sweet sound, perfect for beginners. When plugged to an amplifier it sounds nice and clear and it is not feedback prone like many amplified acoustics tend to be. Much better than Yamahas and Ibanezes on the same price range. The guitar is also smallish so it is perfect for beginners or traveling. But don't be mistaken, this is an awesome little instrument even for someone like me who has played for years and finds it hard to put it down after I pick it up. I have played this one and the natural wood one (Hohner HC09TE-N) and find the natural one has a finer finish and better sound.

Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Tele Custom II, Black Review

(More customer reviews)This is an amazingly rocking little guitar at a very attractive price. I've owned one for about a year and have used it for doing home recordings and the guitar never fails to surprise me with the quality of tones I get out of it. Don't expect this to give you the classic twangy Tele sound as it has Duncan-designed P-90 humbucker pickups so it's more suited for rock than the standard Tele country-style sound, although it could be used for that as well. If you can't decide which Squier Tele to choose, go with this one...I don't think you'll be disappointed. For the money, you really can't go wrong because you can get tones out of this guitar rivaling instruments costing 4 times the price. Can't believe no one's reviewed it here before now!

Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4 KONTROL Edition - Software/Hardware Combo Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a guitar Rig user since Version 2 and have both positive and negative to say about the product. Guitar rig is a fantastic tool for creating arrangements quickly during the writing process especially if guitar isn't your first instrument. The sound quality is as good as I've heard from a plug in and the effects when chained like a real live setup would be perform with the same characteristics. Put a compressor where you normally would in a signal chain and it acts like a compressor. I cant say the same about it's competitors. I find most of the effects to be very nice especially the staples for guitarists such as overdrive and delay.
I gave this review 4 starts for two reasons. The first being the foot controller, it's not well made and Native Instruments has not had replacements available for several months. I believe this could be due to a vendor change or a full redesign. The floor controller is built very poorly and is very expensive for what you acquire upon purchase. The replacements are almost $300 US, twice the price of a Behringer FCB1010 which is made much superior. The second is the CPU usage. I think NI can do a better job in this area, the software can eat a lot of CPU and RAM.
Over All I really like Guitar Rig over other products I have tried and purchased. I do have concerns about future development of the product now that it's part of Komplete and no longer available stand alone without the hardware, but I think that could change too. Although I use a mic'd up cabinet once I have the arrangements finished I have kept many scratch guitar solos that I intended to re-record in projects that sounded great. Guitar Rig is a really good solid product and their website has fantastic customer service and software verification.
I do recommend this this product preferably without the hardware if you can find it that way. Less the Hardware I give Guitar Rig 5 stars.

Seagull Coastline S12 Cedar Guitar Review

If you finger pick, there's plenty of room between the sets of strings. It's soundboard puts out plenty of volume. The more I play it the better it is sounding.
