Washburn WD10 Series WD10SCE Acoustic Electric Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)I recently picked this up for a cheaper guitar to take around. I'm very pleased with it and would recommend for a beginner, or anyone that needs a great playing guitar under $300 dollars. You are not going to find another guitar with the action, plus a cheap pickup for $250. IMHO, this is a great deal.
Plus:
Great Action/Playability
Comes with a cheap Fishman Pickup
I think Washburn's have a good even tone (high's/low's are generally balanced IMO).
Nice Look/sound for price range.
Minus:
This isn't a solid wood guitar. New guitars under $600 are mostly laminate sides and back to cut down on costs.
Like all guitars in this price range, there are plastic parts (nut, binding, pegs, etc.). To be expected.
Notes: Doesn't come with 2 pins for Guitar strap. This just means you have to get a strap that goes to head stock. Just a difference.

Squier by Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass IV String, 3 Tone Sunburst Review

(More customer reviews)Just received my bass - the 3 tone sunburst. It's surprisingly attractive for a budget instrument, and reasonably well made, with medium weight bridge and tuners. The "ebanol" fingerboard takes some getting used to; it's not as yielding as rosewood, but seems to work well. Fretwork was good, and the chromed control knobs are indeed made of metal.
What sets this instrument apart is the wide range of tones one can tune in using the boost/cut controls assisted by active electronics. You can hear the metallic twang of round wound strings, and adjust the brightness and fullness of the tone to your liking. A quick twist of the controls and change of articulation, and it's easy to emulate the traditional darker, thudding tones found on older recordings, and appropriate when playing in those styles. No opinion on the slap switch; I prefer the tone with the switch in the up position (towards the neck).
I think it sounds great, and I tested the instrument in a large music store against 7 other basses ranging in cost up to $400 for a used Schecter. The Schecters were good guitars, but the Squire won due to the tonal flexibility, and very clean, tunable sound. It sounds even better at home.
I can't imaging there's a better bass at this price. Look around for sales if you'd like to save more.

Dean Exotica Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Spaulted Maple Review

(More customer reviews)Just got this guitar this week. 45 years + playing experience. 15+ guitars over the years. The guitar is beautiful for the price. Have a Key Largo and this plays just as good. Have Taylors and Martins, this one is not as good as those but very close, and for only 300 bucks....worth every dollar. The action is way high but a pro set up for 50 bucks will bring this guitar right into spec. Plays loud, full, and balanced and the electronics are great, especially the phase function...added surprise. I play my guitars through a mixer and add effects at that point. No need with the Dean's electronics, all can be done from the guitar which is so much easier than from the mixing board. Was concered about my first laminate guitar...no need to be. Was concerned about the low price...no need to be. Great guitar...should be priced at $650 or more....but pick one up for 300 bucks while supplies last.....

Slightly smaller than a dreadnought - which is great for smaller/shorter women. The Luna Flora Lotus has an attached digital tuner which is pretty handy. It was packed very well and shipped out quickly. I am so happy I bought this guitar. Yay!

I intended on buying a guitar in Seagull's Artist series that was more than twice it's price. After playing both, it seemed senseless to spend more on another guitar. The S6 Slim is the guitar I have been dreaming about for years. This is the most beautiful guitar you will hear, at ANY price. This guitar can be bought for well under $400. It is worth EVERY penny.

Aria TA-50 Electric Guitar - Brown Sunburst Review

(More customer reviews)Wow, that's all that came to mind as I opened the package with a big smile. I purchased this guitar at an unbelievable price of 233.00 with free shipping. I own around 15 guitars and this one is without a doubt the nicest guitar of the bunch, especially for the low cost.
Flawless finishing, beautiful maple grain top which definitely looks one piece. I dare say the natural grain looks better than a flamed top. I just cannot believe how good this guitar looks in a sunburst. The finish is called a brown sunburst, but it is what most call a vintage sunburst, with a natural wood colored finish blending in to black edges.
The hardware is solid, very warm sounding humbuckers, cream colored binding on neck and all exposed edges, even the F-holes. Great Neck, all frets are even and filed smooth. I cannot find a flaw anywhere and I have been staring at this thing for hours. Superb quality.
I recently purchased an ARIA PE-STD Les Paul copy in transparent red and it is equally nice. I would highly recommend the new ARIA guitars to anyone. They offer the highest quality I have ever seen in a low-budget price range. Way better value than the Jay Turser line, which I own a few of, and will soon be sold on eBay.
This guitar is life changing...
