Hagstrom HB-4 Bass Guitar (4 String, Black Gloss) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this based on magazine reviews and it sounded like a nice short scale bass, but I was disappointing with it. Out of the box it was setup poorly and had considerable buzzing. Also the top strap pin was poorly installed (poor workmanship).
It had a 6-way multi selector for the pickups, but I could not find a decent sound with any of the settings. And the pickups were noisy.
The packaging was also very poorly done and it had little protection during shipment (though it did arrive Ok).
I returned it since I just wasn't happy with the quality of it. It just seemed like it was poorer quality than I was expecting.

Hagstrom Tremar Viking Deluxe Electric Guitar (Metallic Gold) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Hagstrom Viking Tremar is the best all-around 355 style guitar that I have tried. It compares well to other semi-hollows that are twice or three times the price. The gold metallic color adds an extra dimension. The paint is perfect and appears to have a durable finish. The tremar vibrato is a bit easier to use than the standard Bigsbies (I have a Bigsby on my Les Paul). The Hagstrom designed end allows for a better grip.
On delivery, the strings needed replacement (rusty from storage I guess). I put a set of DR Strings Pure Blues on the guitar. Tremar stringing requires a bit of patience to get the strings positioned correctly, but once they were in place - fantastic!
I am using this to play surf/spy rock guitar in the style of Duane Eddy. Very cool. Tremar a must. Also, my blues lessons sound better with the Hagstrom (paired to a Fender amp). Even using it unplugged (a benefit of having a semi-hollow). The neck is smooth and easy to navigate. No complaints there. The black pickguard with the gold Hagstrom logo looks like it belongs there.
Am ordering a Hagstrom case to go with this so I can bring it with me the next time I'm on the road.

Hagstrom Deluxe-F Electric Guitar (Blue Sparkle Top) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I fell in love with one of these at a used guitar shop. I heard the Hagstrom name so I took it down and played it. A week later came back and played it again for an hour. Being an owner of a 1995 Les Paul Studio, and Kramer DMZ 3000 and who has played countless Fenders and PRS guitars, this is one of the best feeling and sounding guitars I have ever come across. Nice and solid but not too heavy and loud even w/o amplification which is important to the overall sound of any electric guitar. Highly recommended.

Hagstrom Ultra Swede Electric Guitar (Burgundy Burst) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This guitar is like having a Les Paul and a Fender Strat or Tele all in one. It has two humbuckers that can be coil split and the usual pickup switch. The tones are quite versatile and can accomodate almost any style. The neck is incredibly fast. The bindings, inlays and the carved top is beautiful. I have several Les Pauls and Strats and Telecasters. For the price and wormanship, this guitar can't be beat.
