(More customer reviews)I have owned this guitar for about 3 years and I am more impressed with it now than the first day I brought it home. I have a number of guitars and the only classical guitar I own that I think compares favorably is an Alvarez-Yairi CY 118. While the Yairi is a beautiful instrument in tone and workmanship, the value of it is that of a classical guitar which resonates throughout your body as you play it. On the other hand, the Cordoba 55RCE sounds wonderful but does not have quite the acoustical resonance of the Yairi. But, the Cordoba has an electronic piezo pickup system that makes the guitar come alive when played through a halfway decent amplifier. The Cordoba includes an electronic tuner and 3 band equalizer as well as a presence modifier with its electronic package. On the whole, the Cordoba is a well rounded instrument that you will enjoy playing with or without and amplifier for years.As with any fine classical guitar, I would highly recommend that you play it before you buy it. All fine guitars are a little different. If it is not possible to play before delivery, make sure you can return it within a reasonable amount of time. This should not be a problem for the dealer. If it is, say goodbye and take your business elsewhere. The Cordoba 55RCE is made from some of the finest wood available in a time of scarcity of fine woods. But, even the best of woods do not guarantee long-term structural integrity. This is not a guitar to take to the beach and play along with your friends singing because significant changes in humidity will harm the wood and could cause cracking and/or warping. Since the Cordoba has an excellent warranty, please make sure that you take care of it in the prescribed way (to the extent practical) to preserve the value of the warranty, and more importantly to preserve the sound and beauty of the instrument. Even though it is covered by a warranty, you do not want to be without your guitar for any period of time that it takes to fix it properly. It takes a little extra time to care for your Cordoba, but it is worth it. Buying a Cordoba 55RCE is buying art that is functional as well. If you are lucky enough to acquire one of these fine instruments, I wish you luck and all the happiness that will come from your playing.

Cordoba C10 Classical Guitar, CD/IN Review

(More customer reviews)This is a really great guitar for the money, and definitely beats out the old Yamaha classical I used to have lying around. The solid woods were the biggest attractions for me in picking one up for myself, since my other old guitar is laminate I think so it sounds kinda stiff. But my C10 has a pretty and open sound and is very easy to play.
I saw the other review on here only giving this guitar "1 star", but it doesn't look like that person even tried out the C10 themselves (like they were sent a different guitar from Amazon?)- so i thought'd I'd put in my 2 cents since I can tell you i'm pretty pleased with mine!

Cordoba 55FCE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)I play an assortment of acoustic styles, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova and I occasionally accompany my wife on her Flamenco performances. I was looking for a guitar suitable for all three styles that I could just plug in and retain some control over my sound.
The Cordoba 55FCE meets these requirements rather handily.
First the neck is just perfect. Wide enough to enable clean chording but narrower than a traditional classical or Flamenco guitar. Very low action. In general a very clean quality fit and finish. Aesthetically just gorgeous.
All around very comfortable to play.
The electronics are just amazing. Between the EQ, piezo pickup and on-board mic I can find a variety settings that fit my styles. The ability to blend between the peizo and mic allow me to just nail the tone I need.

Cordoba FCWE Gipsy Kings Reissue Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the original version of this guitar from Cordoba back in 2001. The original version was extremely well made and the solid Cypress wood back and sides looked and smelled magnificent. The playability and feel of this guitar was on par with a top notch luthier built flamenco guitar in this price range. The sound was the typical Flamenco growl with an edge. The Fishman ProBlender PU system is quite nice. Zero feedback problems and nice ergonomic feel make this guitar a real winner for playing live.
Its made for this purpose and does it well. Im glad to see that Cordoba has brought this beauty back to the product line. They are still highly sought after and will always be a players favorite, especially for stage, or studio work. The case that came with mine was a VGV case made in Italy and the guitar fits snuggly into this special thinline case. If you dont play flamenco, or would prefer the rosewood version of this guitar, look for the RCWE model, rather than the FCWE.
The RCWE (rosewood) version of this same guitar is gorgeous and the sound is very rich. Either one, the FCWE, or the RCWE is a world class instrument that will not disappoint. Cordoba does a very nice job with these fine instruments.

Cordoba Orchestra Pro CD/IN Classical Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)I received the Cordoba Orchestra Pro Classical Guitar for Christmas from my wonderful wife. I've been playing guitar for thirty years and in my opinion, this is the best sounding, best playing guitar I've ever had. I lead worship at my church and I've played this guitar every Sunday since I got it. The Orchestra Pro comes with your choice of either a cedar or spruce top. Mine has the cedar top and I love the warm, deep sound. It has beautiful, solid rosewood back and sides, and a lightweight cedar neck with an ebony fretboard. It sounds great unplugged, but the B-Band electronics it comes with makes it soar to new heights when you need amplification. I also love the fact that the neck is more narrow than a standard classical guitar. I have no complaints whatsoever. I love my Cordoba! Celtic Christian

Cordoba GK Studio Gipsy Kings Signature Model Flamenco Classical Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)Sweet! Consider that I first bought the Rodriguez C3 Flamenco guitar. It's old school and beautiful, but the action is high and it sounds like a classical guitar, sweet and warm. Not cool if you want flamenco sound. I took it back and got the Córdoba GK Studio. Yeah baby. This model has an excellent brassy flamenco sound with good volume unplugged- big bass, sharp mids and highs. The intonation is spot on. The action is set low at the factory, making it very playable out of the box. Flamenco freaks can pick it up right away and play Leyenda. O, and by the way, this guitar has a truss rod. Truss rods are a staple in steel string guitars for adjusting the neck, but conventional wisdom that nylon strings don't exert as much tension on the neck as steel strings do means that luthiers commonly don't include a truss rod in nylon string guitars.
The Fishman electronics are commendable. There's nothing amazing, but they sound clean and accurately equalized throughout the spectrum. I prefer these over the other two big names, L.R. Baggs and B-Band. The on-board tuner is a bonus.
There's one minor issue: You're going to need a pro setup, about $60.
First, there was some feathering of the frets, meaning the frets stick out just a hair past the fretboard. You can feel them as you move up and down the neck. This is easy to fix and is common among lower priced student guitars. I checked two other GK Studios and found them to be the same.
I also found some vibration at certain frequencies (played notes)- NOT fret buzz. It's very common for guitars with electronics to buzz under the bridge or elsewhere inside because the wire to the preamp or the output jack isn't taped down. I have some VERY nice guitars, and they had the same buzz. Again, an easy fix. To test, I leaned back a little as I played to move the wire away from the wood, and the buzz wuzz gone.
One other thing, a personal preference really, is the 50mm nut width. That's almost 2 inches, but I like a more traditional 52mm width, so I'm splittin hairs.
It comes with a gig bag, but you'll want a hardshell case. It took awhile to research, but the two best fitting cases I found are the Road Runner Classical HSC or better yet, the OSP Deluxe ABS Hardshell Case.
