Cordoba C10 Classical Guitar, SP/IN Review

This guitar is GREAT!!! I have been playing classical for about 10 years and studied under two instructors who studied under Manuel Barrueco & Aaron Shearer. I was playing a Cordoba C5-CE but wanted to upgrade to a higher quality instrument and thus began a long and frustrating search. After playing a number of classicals at local guitar centers and sam ash stores in Cleveland, Ohio including some very expensive Ramirez and Rodriguez guitars, I was not satisfied. So i drove 4 hours to Elderly Instruments (best shop around!!!) in Lansing, Mich. Over the course of 4 hours I tested a $1,000 Alhambra 5p cutaway, a few LaPatrie's, a $1,500 Takamine, a bunch a Rodriguez models, and a few Ramirez, including an excellent condition used Ramirez going for $5,000 (probably worth 6K new). It finally came down to the Cordoba c7, solista, and C10. After playing and comparing all 4 against each other, the C10 had the best sound and playability.
The bass notes are full and loud, especially the E. The trebbles are clear and bright, not "tinny", but not soft or muted either. Very well balanced sound/tone, great projection. The spruce top really helps with sound "punch". No neck problems and the action is "Goldi-Locks" (not too high, not too low, but just right). So far, it sounds best with the Savarez 500CJ high tension cristal corum strings (i have tried Di-Addario normals, Savarez rectified red pack HT, and cristal corum 500cj's on my C'dobs.) It is also a beautiful looking guitar with high quality workmanship. Bought it with a Humicase to upgrade warranty to lifetime for only an extra $40 becasue the case handle was slightly bent. Bottom line, a $1,000 guitar plays like a 2K-3K instrument.

I purchased a Cordoba C7 Nylon String Classical Guitar last Month(June 2011) at Sam Ash on 48th street in New york. The guy who helped me was very helpfull and knowledgeable of the product. When I got home, I played the guitar - I was very impressed of the great sound of the guitar I would compare it to a Ramirez pitch, my teacher was also impressed by the sound of the Cordoba C7. I am happy to own a C7 Cordoba.

La Patrie Guitar, Collection Review

I bought mine 11 years ago; it sounded great out of the case, but it has aged and mellowed beautifully. The sound is full, rich, and can play very loud or at a slight whisper -- with nothing lost as far as tone. The overtones are gorgeous, and notes will ring for a minute or two if left untouched. This is by far the best classical guitar for the money. You can't go wrong buying this masterpiece of craftsmanship; it's a work of art.

Cordoba Fusion 14 OV Classical Guitar with Polyfoam case Review

Cordoba Fusion 14 OV Classical Guitar with Polyfoam case

I recently bought a Cordoba 12 OV fusion series classical guitar.
What a pleasant surprise it was to receive such a fine guitar at a very reasonable price.
I was much impressed with the overall superb craftsmanship, the quality of the woods and components, the electronics and the tone and playability of this guitar.
I have other guitars that cost 3x more money, but offer nothing this guitar doesn't give me.
If you are like I was, and looking for a quality nylon string instrument that plays as easy as a quality steel string guitar, then do yourself a favor and take a look at the Cordoba fusion series.
My guitar came with gold keys, bone nut and saddle and a great foam case.

Espana Classical Solid Top Guitar Mahogany Review

Espana Classical Solid Top Guitar Mahogany

This guitar, for the price, is fantastic. It has a deep, rich sound that you usually find in higher-end models. It is of solid wood construction and the fret board plays really well. It also is a very loud guitar. The voice on this thing is amazing. It plays the high-end notes perfectly and contrasts well with the bass. No buzzing and it gives a great "streaking" noise when you slide up and down the fret board on complicated pieces. I used this as a beginner guitar and I will keep it in my collection as it ages nicely. A definite buy for a beginner.
Aesthetically it is pleasing. For the beginner it is nice because it has the fret markings on the side so you can gauge where you are on the scales you are playing. Hope this helps!
