Hohner HC09TE-N Thin Bodied Classical Nylon String Guitar with Electric Preamp Review

Hohner HC09TE-N Thin Bodied Classical Nylon String Guitar with Electric Preamp

This is a very fine guitar for the price. I actually found it somewhere else NEW for $150 but even at the Amazon price it is perfect. Impeccable finish, sweet sound, perfect for beginners. When plugged to an amplifier it sounds nice and clear and it is not feedback prone like many amplified acoustics tend to be. Much better than Yamahas and Ibanezes on the same price range. The guitar is also smallish so it is perfect for beginners or traveling. But don't be mistaken, this is an awesome little instrument even for someone like me who has played for years and finds it hard to put it down after I pick it up.

Jay Turser Resonator Guitars jt-900res-cs Acoustic-electric Guitar, Cherry Sunburst Review

Jay Turser Resonator Guitars jt-900res-cs Acoustic-electric Guitar, Cherry Sunburst
Average Reviews:

Since Amazon doesn't give many details, here are a few:
Most importantly, this guitar has a spider cone (like a Dobro), not a biscuit cone (like a National). The wood is heavy plywood on the top, and feels heavy all around. The back and sides have a mahogany looking grain, altho they're probably one of those many tropical lookalikes. The back is arched! The tone is fairly mellow, as would be expected.
It's made in China, for what it's worth. Not necessarily a bad thing, in my experience. But don't expect National/Dobro/Taylor/Martin tone and quality, of course. It's an inexpensive (but not "cheap") guitar.
The two pickups have VERY different characters and relative volume, and the infinite blend control gives the player many options for sound. The other two controls are standard volume and tone, which affect both pickups. Sounds fine when not plugged in.
The finish is a very thick heavy plastic (urethane?) much more like an electric guitar than an acoustic. The cherry red sunburst is pretty good looking to my eyes. Not as garish as it appears on the computer-- more dark red, less orange.
The fretboard appears to be rosewood. It has nice (plastic?) binding, and the frets are well finished. The neck has an adjustable truss rod. The neck is 1 11/16", but for some reason they installed a 1 5/8" nut with very narrow string spacing. I've noticed a lot of Chinese guitars are coming with abnormally narrow string spacing these days. I immediately replaced mine with a Tusq nut. One other oddity is that it's a 14 fret neck, BUT the 14th fret is not at the juncture with the body but slightly overlapping. I guess that makes it a 13 7/8 fret neck! It's noticeable when you're playing up there.
The general fit and finish is excellent, altho mine was (and still is) missing one tiny chromed screw attaching the resonator cover to the body (there are 12). The cutouts for the f-holes are raw, unsanded and sloppily finished, and there are some shreds of wood visible on the inside of the holes. Not a big deal, but a noticeable detail. The holes, however, are precisely cut by computer, so they look fine unless you look at them closely. The tuning machines are decent.
The neck was straight and the action very low. It came with light or extra light nickel strings. Played fast. I installed medium/heavy nickel strings which brought up the action a little. Feels better for bottleneck now, but it was set up great for shredding right out of the box. The heavier strings put a slight bow into the neck, but it's ok for the way I play, and can be corrected with the truss rod.
All in all, I am tickled with this guitar, especially since Amazon sold it to me for only [...] with free shipping, and it was in stock. I see that the price has now increased to [...], so it's no longer as much of a steal, but still a good value. All in all it's a more than decent low end acoustic-electric resonator guitar.

Recording King Century Jubilee Series Deep Body Acoustic Guitar (Mahogany, Sunburst Finish) Review

Recording King Century Jubilee Series Deep Body Acoustic Guitar (Mahogany, Sunburst Finish)
Average Reviews:

Somehow, mysteriously, the price on this guitar dropped below $400.00 momentarily here, and I snagged one. I really like it.
With the exception of some visible glue spots inside, fit and finish are just great. Tone is even, surprisingly strong, although a bit bass-shy, just as I'd wanted for recording. A Tonerite has been sitting on the guitar for about a week now and made an amazing difference in an already very nice sounding instrument.
The guitar intonates excellently, my tech said the action and intonation were perfect and needed no adjustment, and I'm very happy.
ON EDIT, several weeks later: more and more ToneRite makes a wonderful budget guitar more and more complex and satisfying to play. Very happy I chose this instrument.

I got this as my 13th b-day present as a step up from my ESP-LTD and its far superior. The pickups are almost as good as EMG passives. The Floyd did take some adjustment, but other than that this is my favorite guitar. I've player on hellraiser Warbeats and RGs.

Giannini GWNC1/7-EL Sevilha Classical Guitar (Acoustic-Electric, Nylon, 7-String) Review

Giannini GWNC1/7-EL Sevilha Classical Guitar (Acoustic-Electric, Nylon, 7-String)
Average Reviews:

I just got this wonderful instrument. A SEVEN STRINGS CLASSICAL GUITAR!!!, with electronic amplifier built-in!. I love it.
The strings are very nice spaced from each other, so that the neck doesn't look wide and still you can play the different strings easily. Also doing 7 string bar chords is not difficult and do not require much strength. I am already playing songs with this
guitar using the seventh string with the deep sound of an A one octave lower than
the 5th string.
This kind of guitar is quite difficult or expensive to get, and here I got it for the price of a common guitar. The sound is very good for me and it came with a very nice gig bag. I thanks Giannini por putting these kind of guitars at the reach of everybody.
I think seven string classical guitars will be common in the near future.

Blueridge BR-60CE Contemporary Dreadnaught Cutaway Guitar with Fishman Classic 4T Pickup and Santos Rosewood Back & Sides. Review

Blueridge BR-60CE Contemporary Dreadnaught Cutaway Guitar with Fishman Classic 4T Pickup and Santos Rosewood Back and Sides.

Received on third business day after ordering. Just out of the box the glossy Rosewood back and sides are very very impressive. It is light weight and very easy to hold and play. NO additional set-up required as far as I'am conserned. It has a loud crisp base and balanced treble sound. The bone nut and saddle give it a great sound. Action is low and easy to play. It sounds just as good through my acoustic amp. The 14:1 tuning keys hold the strings in tune and it is easy to treek the note when tuning. Would definately recommend you check this guitar out, as you may like it as well or better than guitars costing two or there times as much.
