(More customer reviews)I picked this amp up second hand after reading a lot of positive reviews and listening to it on YouTube. I have had it for about six months now (as of July 2011) and this amp continues to impress. Mine is a little older about 2004-05 in black tweed. I have used this amp on the gain channel and it sounds amazing, but where it really shines is on the clean channel with a MXR Distortion +. It has plenty of guts for any room I have ever played including outdoor gigs. This amp just sparkles while my Fender Blues Jr. and DeVille 410 sit on the bench. I also have a mid 90s Peavey Classic 50 212. All these amps are great, but my first choice is the Classic 30. Smaller size makes it easy to haul around. Durable too, it took a nasty fall in the back of our cargo van and slid to the back, powered up and worked fine ever since. Peavey has a reputation of building dependable and durable equipment. I recommend this amp as a gigging musician and guitar player since 1985. Take a chance on this one and enjoy!
